Steps for Setup iCloud email in outlook

  • Open Outlook in your system.
  • Go to the File tab and from the drop-down menu select info.
  • On the Account Information page select the “Add Account” option.
  • On Add Account window select the “ Manual setup or additional server type” and click Next.
  • On choose service window choose POP or IMAP and click Next.
  • On the POP and IMAP account setting window enter the required detail such as your name, email id – xxxx@icloud.com (in the email address you need to write your apple iCloud email id).
  • On the server information select Account type as IMAP.

Incoming mail server: imap.mail.me.com.

Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.mail.me.com.

  • In the logon information enter your username and password of your iCloud account.
  • Check-in remembers password box also check in the required login secure password authentication box.
  • Go to “more setting” present on the side of the page.
  • On the General tab enter the name of your iCloud account which is your email address.
  • Select the Outgoing Server tab and check the My outgoing server (SMTP) require authentication box.
  • Select the radio button present just below the outgoing server box stating use the same settings as my incoming mail server.
  • Click ok.
  • On the same window select the Advanced tab.
  • Now check that the Incoming server(IMAP) should be 993 or 143.

Incoming server encryption connection: SSL.

Outgoing server (SMTP) :587 or 465.

Ongoing server encryption connection: TLS or Auto.

After checking all the details click OK.

  • Click next.
  • In the Test Account Setting window if you entered all the details correctly you will receive a message that – congratulations. All tests completed successfully. Click close to continue. You will see a green color tick mark in front of the process name and status as completed.
  • Select close.
  • On the next window, you will see the “you are all set” message click the “ Finish” option.
  • You can see the iCloud account on your outlook.
  • This completes your setup process now as your iCloud is being set up with outlook now you can see and receive as well as can see your iCloud mail through outlook.

The steps to your Setup iCloud email in outlook mail interfaces to the outlook are similar for all. The only difference is that in the place of email address and password you have to specify the interface account detail which you want to set up with outlook.
