How to fix server connection issues?
It is frustrating to see error messages on your computer such as “cannot connect to server/ server not found” or server connection issues when you connect to the internet or try to load certain websites. Sometimes, you may receive the following error message- “cannot connect the computer to the server because either another software installation is in progress or, the computer has a restart pending. Either complete the installation process or, restart the computer and try to connect it again”. This problem may continue to occur even after you restart the computer multiple times.

This problem usually occurs because an earlier software installation on the computer has left the computer in a restart pending state, and restarting the computer does not clear the state.

Step 1-Change the browser you’re using.
Open the website you’re trying to access on a different browser that you’re currently using. This will solve the issue if your browser is the reason behind it.
Step 2- Check your modem and/or router for server connection issues.
Step 3- Make sure that you are connected to the right access point in case of wireless connections.
Step 4- Check for any internet security software such as firewalls and antivirus programs that may be blocking the connection. Some Internet security programs can block Internet access even when they are in a “disabled” state. In the case of proxy servers, make sure that the proxy server can connect to the Internet.
Step 5- Update your browser to the latest version.
Make sure your browser isn’t outdated; if it is, immediately update to the latest version.
Sometimes, certain websites stop loading after a browser update; in this case, check your internet security systems because they may be blocking the connections due to recent updates.
Step 6- Remove your browser from your computer’s list of trusted or recognized programs, then add it back.
Step 7- DNS Prefetching.
If you’re using Firefox as your browser, disable DNS Prefetching.
Step 8-Clear out your cookies and cache and then try to connect to the internet.
Step 9-Check for malware.
If clearing your cookies and cache did not help load the websites, check your computer for malware. Certain types of malware are known to target specific browsers and can prevent them from loading various websites.
Update your antivirus software and do a full scan of your system.
Step 10- Use the “Easy fix wizard”.
First, restart the computer.
If the restart does not fix the problem, go to the “Here’s an easy fix” section. If you prefer to fix this problem manually, go to the “Let me fix it myself” section.
To fix this problem automatically, click the Download button. In the File Download dialogue box, click Run or Open, and then follow the steps in the easy fix wizard.
If you’re not on the computer that has the problem, save the easy fix solution to a flash drive or a CD, and then run it on the computer that has the problem.
